We look forward to working with you again this year. Here is a timeline for our renewal process:
- Renewal letter mailed to all residential customers between December 5 and December 10. Response requested by December 31.
- Renewal agreement mailed to all residential customers by January 17.
A renewal payment is required no later than March 15. You have two options:
- Prepay for the entire season in advance and receive a 10% discount
- Enroll in our NEG billing plan: 30% deposit is due by MARCH 15 and 7 subsequent monthly payments are due on the 15th of each month through October; we do NOT charge installment or interest fees

We continue to limit our service area in 2024 so we can focus more efforts on providing quality customer service. In addition, we did not increase our application prices this year and upgraded some of our regular programs and services to ensure the results and satisfaction you deserve.

Overview
We focus on the quality and continued health of your lawn, one that is safe for you to enjoy and for your children and pets to play on. We don't use harsh chemicals or restricted-use herbicides in our applications.
Our 8-Step Lawn Fertilization program helps control weeds when the entire 8-step process is followed--from our first visit to apply pre-emergent weed control in the early spring through our final visit in late October/early November. The best results are achieved when our lawn program is combined with proper watering, mowing, and maintenance. We will visit your property 6 times during the season to apply the 8 lawn treatments. If you choose fewer than the 8 steps, we will visit fewer than 6 times.
Our Mosquito/Tick program uses all-natural ingredients we prepare at our own facility. In response to the surge in serious, tick-borne disease, our Mosquito/Tick program includes 10 sprays each season. If you wish a different number of sprays this year, please submit your request by clicking the green button below. If we don't hear from you, we'll schedule 10 sprays between April and early November.
And, yes, our mosquito/tick spray also controls fleas!
Our NEW Mulch Bed Weed protection program helps eliminate weeds that thrive in mulch beds, reproduce, and then spread to your lawn. This program helps reduce the weed population on your property as it works in concert with our lawn fertilization program and the weed control we apply with each fertilizer application.
Fall aeration and overseeding restores healthy soil by alleviating compaction, creating an optimal environment for seed germination/development, and helps water, nutrients, air, and fertilizer get directly to grass roots.
We also offer a Home Defense Insect program that consists of foundation sprays to help keep unwanted guests (ants, crickets, earwigs, spiders, and other insects) from your home and/or building.
Spring lime is highly recommended for some customers as it increases the soil's pH to make it less acidic and help it absorb more nutrients. It also helps green up the grass.
Moss control is especially helpful in shady areas or on lawns with a lot of trees; moss control adds iron to the soil, adjusts the pH level, helps the grass absorb nutrients, helps kill moss, and greens up the grass.
Our Landscape Tree and Shrub program increases the flower size and/or color of your plants while promoting overall health. The four applications in our program include fertilization and insect control.
Feel free to reach out to us if you are interested in any other services. Keep in mind that we are not landscapers, so we do not mow lawns, do spring or fall clean ups, or similar types of service.
- If you purchased the Lawn Fertilization program:
- We will begin services in the spring based upon the weather; this is usually in late March or early April.
- We will visit your property 5 or 6 times during the season, which ends in late October or early November. (5 visits for 7-Step program and 6 visits for 8-Step program)
- If you contracted for grub control services, we usually apply that product at the same time we apply one of the following treatments: early spring, late spring, or summer fertilizer. Our owners make the determination of when grub proofing is applied based on the products used and your particular lawn and lawn program.
- If you contracted for winter fertilizer and lime treatments, we usually apply them at the same time sometime between late September and early November.
- If you purchased our Mosquito and Tick services, the default number of sprays per season is 10. If you'd like to schedule any other number of sprays, please contact us ASAP.
- If you purchased our Home Defense Insect program, the default number of sprays is 4, provided in the early spring, late spring, summer, and fall.
- If you purchased our Landscape Tree and Shrub program, the default number of sprays is 4 (unless you purchased fewer applications in 2023), which are provided in the spring (2 applications), fall, and winter.
- Services are scheduled based on a number of variables, including weather patterns, specific products used, geographic location, cleanups, and mowing schedules. Because of these variables, we do not provide advance notice before visiting. In circumstances involving safety or security, we can make exceptions. Please let us know if you have any safety/security matters we should know about, such as locked gates or dogs that are outside during the daytime.
- You can help us schedule services more efficiently if you provide us with a window of time during which we can service your property. Please let us know which of the following times works best for you:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Thursday, Friday, Monday
- Any weekday
- If we do not visit as planned due to the weather or other unforeseen circumstances, we will provide services ASAP once the weather clears up. In most cases, if we don't visit as planned, we'll be out the very next workday.
We offer a 10% prepayment discount to customers who wish to pay for services in advance. Please note:
- You must contract with us for at least one program, or at least three applications or individual services, for the discount to apply. If you are eligible for the prepayment discount, it applies to all programs and services for which you hire us during the season ... so long as payment is received before services are applied.
- You do not have to prepay for all services to receive the discount. In other words, you will receive the 10% discount on the amount of your prepayment. For instance, if you contract for both the lawn and mosquito/tick programs and only want to prepay for the lawn program, the discount will apply to your lawn program and not to your mosquito/tick program. We will add your mosquito/tick program to our installment billing plan and send you payment coupons.
- To receive the discount, we must receive payment BEFORE the services are provided. The discount cannot be applied retroactively; however, it can be provided for remaining future services.
For anyone renewing or activating services after March 15, your prepayment must be received by us before we renew or activate services.
We offer 2 options for the invoicing and payment of services:
- Prepay for the year and receive a 10% discount for all services that have not yet been provided
- Our NEG billing plan, which offers 3 schedules:
- Option 1: 10% deposit paid by JANUARY 15 and 9 monthly payments
- Option 2: 20% deposit paid by FEBRUARY 15 and 8 monthly payments
- Option 3: 30% deposit paid by MARCH 15 and 7 monthly payments
If you miss the deadline for making your prepayment (March 15 for renewing customers and within 7 days of the due date for new customers), the discount will apply to all future services that have not yet been provided. The amount due for services completed before we receive your payment will not be discounted.
If you enroll in one of our NEG billing plans:
- Your payments will be due on the 15th of each month until October
- We do NOT charge installment or interest fees
- Overdue payments may result in the interruption of services

- All payments must be mailed to the office or made via the website, Venmo, or PayPal
- We do not accept cash payments
- Our lawn technicians are not authorized to accept payments of any kind
- For security and privacy reasons, all credit card payments must be made via the website or with our bookkeeper.

Keep in mind that we have operations in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Our office and management teams travel on a daily basis, often work remotely, and are not in the office every day to answer calls or receive telephone messages.
All customer service inquiries should be directed to the office. Because our lawn technicians work on schedules and our customers often depend upon them visiting on particular days, they will forward your inquiries to the office for proper routing and response.
